Meet Tiana

Sau In Tiana Wong holds a Master’s degree in Piano Performance from Southern Oregon University, where she studied under the tutelage of Dr. Alexander Tutunov. Born and raised in Hong Kong, Ms. Wong earned her B.A. (Honours) in Music Performance from Hong Kong Baptist University. She is the recipient of numerous scholarships, including the Evans Family Scholarship, Leon Mulling Music Scholarship, Allan A. and Katherine M. Alsing Scholarship, HKSAR Government Talent Development Scholarship, and the HKBU Academy of Music Honourable Mention for Outstanding Music Performance.

Ms. Wong has received various invitations to perform at prestigious venues including Carnegie Hall in New York; SOKA Performing Arts Center and Azusa Pacific University in Los Angeles; prominent venues across Oregon including Portland State University, SOU Music Recital Hall, and the Craterian Theater at the Collier Center for the Performing Arts; and the HKBU Academic Community Hall in Hong Kong. In 2022, she won the Brookings Harbor Friends of Music Competition and was selected to perform in a master class with Vladimir Feltsman. She was also a finalist in the 2022 Memphis International Piano Competition and the 2024 SMC Concerto Competition. During her studies, Ms. Wong participated in masterclasses with Andrew Cooperstock, Bart van Oort, Andrew Parr, Amato-Landini Duo, Kevin Orr, Anthony de Mare and Latsos Piano Duo.

In addition to her solo performances, Ms. Wong is a skilled collaborative musician. She has served as the pianist for the SOU Wind Ensemble, Rogue Valley Symphonic Band, James M. Collier Siskiyou Violins, the Eagle Point School Choirs, and the Youth Ensemble of the Rogue Valley Choral Association. She also participated in the Ashland Chamber Music Workshop and the musical theatre production Cabaret with Camelot Theatre in 2023.

Ms. Wong’s international experience includes participating in Music Fest Perugia in Italy (2019), where she studied with renowned pianists and performed in the Marathon Recital at Sala dei Notari. In the Summer of 2022, she attended the University of Florida International Piano Festival in Gainesville on a full scholarship, where she performed both solo and collaborative repertoire.

Currently, Ms. Wong serves as Artist-in-Residence at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Medford, Oregon, where she continues to contribute to the musical community through performances and educational outreach.
